Back with Phase 2 of my packing process!
We often have pieces in our closets that bring in elements of what is trending while also complementing our body silhouette and personal style. As a stylist, Phase 2 of my Styling Travel Package mirrors my own packing process. It consists of diving into the closet to pinpoint clothing, shoes, and accessories that align with the latest trends.
This process is truly energizing! Many items can get overlooked in our closets, and this presents a chance to refresh their look and style them in new ways. I like to think of it as a mini shopping spree—refreshing our wardrobe without adding extra clutter!
From my closet, I gathered metallics, shades of gray, leather and faux leather pieces, vibrant pops of red and burgundy, animal prints, funnel necks and turtlenecks, fancy flats, riding boots, faux fur, suede, sheer fabrics, nipped-in and wool outerwear. I even found a sweater that had fair isle vibes. While I knew I might not cover every trend, I managed to compile a robust selection that captures many elements of current styles.
Let's jump into my closet!
For minimal cost, I aimed to incorporate a couple of trendy notes with a bit more oomph.
Fun socks worn with loafers—and really any type of shoe—have been quite the trend lately. It takes me back to my childhood when I rocked Strawberry Shortcake socks with Mary Jane flats!
I found a pair of socks that are a nod to my childhood and another set that not only add a touch of flair, but also will increase prevelance of the fair isle print in my looks.
I aimed to expand my metallic options beyond just silver to incorporate some gold accents as well. I hunted down a Black Friday deal for a pair of gold metallic penny loafers, also doubling as fancy flats!
